On March 10, the University of Basel asked her lecturers to digitize teaching and assessment as far as possible. smv3.ch implemented the related changes within a few weeks, taking advantage of the existing lecture companion website unibas.smv3.ch. The following tools have been chosen:
WordPress webpage with QSM plugin for e-assessment and exercises
Zoom (desktop client/web based, licensed) or Jitsi (open source, free and fully web based) for interactive sessions with less than ca. 30 participants, both directly linked from webpage
Streaming through Twitch for less interactive (only chat) lectures with > 50 participants
Video recordings are available on Switchtube, the video portal of the university. For non university courses we offer streaming and video through our own youtube channel.
